A secondary school education is not taken for granted in the far reaches of inland Kenya. Education is more than learning skills; it is a step up to a better life. Over the past years, CMC has provided funds for scholarships and capital improvements for the boys’ and girls’ schools in Churo. These schools offer hope, but more so offer the message of Christ to students. All of this work has been in collaboration with the Africa Inland Church. The Churo schools regularly need support for student scholarships (beyond CMC’s regular support).
Therefore, HAHA is dedicated to making it possible for strong institutions to operate in remote areas. Because a peoples group in such a remote village in the Baringo District of Africa did not have any strong institutions it was our privilege to be invited to oversee the completion of a Secondary School there. That school continues to be a shining light in Kenya. Many of the graduates have gone on to University.
