Room 168 / 169
Women are welcome to join this Bible study and discussion group. The winter study will be Miracles of Jesus.
“Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written” (John 21:25, NIV). Can you imagine – if all of the witnesses of our Lord’s miracles were to have put pen to paper (or reed and quill to papyrus) and given their first-hand account of His miraculous actions, how many versions we’d have to read?! In our winter study we’ll be limiting it to just four, thankfully: the miracles of Jesus as revealed in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
Come join in this study of the miracles chronicled in the New Testament Gospels – we’ll experience the POWER (dynamis), the SIGNS (semeion), and WONDER (teras) that will lead us to witness together Jesus’ supernatural control that demonstrates to us His love and limitless compassion, His divine nature and absolute authority as the Son of God, and ultimately bringing us to glorify His Father!
Bring your Bible when you come. You’ll grow not only through the monthly reading, but also from the discussion that takes place.

Galatians – Who Has Bewitched You? Why and How?
Thursday evenings (6:45 – 9:00 PM)
Orientation / Book Distribution – Thursday, March 7 (6:00 PM)
Class meets March 14 – April 25
Facilitator: Rhonda Wiley
As the gospel spread across the Roman world in the first decades after Jesus’ earthly ministry, conflict arose. Jews and Gentiles were believing the gospel, and a struggle over what it meant to be a Christian began. What does it mean to live under grace? Do you have to keep the Law to be a Christian? All of it or just part of it? Who is right? How will we know?
God used an apostle to write a letter to some churches that were struggling with this issue, a letter that still speaks today. Its message clearly defines the relationship between Law and grace, and how Christians live under grace, led by the Spirit, free from bondage.
ABOUT PRECEPTS: When you read the Bible, do you come away with understanding and insight, or just confusion with lots of questions? Do you struggle to find any relevance for yourself in today’s world? If so, you will certainly appreciate learning the inductive method of Bible study.
Precepts uses an Inductive Study Method which is an investigative approach to the Bible using observation, interpretation, and application. Time spent observing Scripture to know what the Bible says and using sound principles of interpretation to understand what it means can result in a God-honoring and fulfilling life of Scripture application.
A workbook will guide you through the process. The class meets weekly to discuss findings and to watch a DVD presentation. Workbook Cost: $15.75 (A limited number of partial scholarships are available. To request a scholarship contact Lori at firstname.lastname@example.org or 616.796.3361.)
TO SIGN-UP or for more information, contact Lori at email@example.com or 616.796.3361.

This newly–forming small group will be studying Matthew using John MacArthur’s study guide on this gospel. In this study of Matthew, you’ll be digging deep into God’s Word as you explore Jesus’ miraculous birth, His response to the test of His Kingliness, His inauguration, His miracles, His teachings, and His public ministry.
MacArthur Bible Studies provide intriguing examinations of the whole of Scripture. Each guide incorporates extensive commentary, detailed observations on overriding themes, and probing questions to help you study the Word of God with guidance from John MacArthur.
