The 10 Big Questions Jesus Asks series.
In the age of division and name-calling, this might be the most relevant and disturbing question Jesus could ask. Jesus asked this question of a person who wanted to have the culture lines he had in his world view affirmed by Jesus. Instead, Jesus eliminates the lines that make some people more valuable than others. He also reveals that once we see other people’s dignity, we have no excuse for inaction. We must step into the hurts of others and bring healing.
Who is your neighbor and how do they need you to live your full life and share it with them? Who is the person on the side of the road you travel every day that you just can’t pass by any longer? How will you take what God has provided for you and use it to break down barriers between people and between your neighbor and Jesus?
