When Jesus came into the world, it was an inhospitable place for one who came to bring unadulterated others-focused love. The irony is that that God the Father invited His Son into the world, a hospitable God welcoming His Son. Our welcoming Heavenly Father prepared the way for Jesus, provided for His every need, and protected the Christ in all His ministry. He intervened to welcome His Son.

Advent is a time when we anticipate the “coming” of Jesus. We anxiously anticipate the arrival of the Christ. We prepare and plan so that we are willingly ready for Jesus to come. The word advent is derived from a Latin word that means “coming.” Like a host with a special date on the calendar, we are anxious for the coming of Christ. In this series, we will apply the truth of Advent and hospitality to our everyday lives.

During this time of year, we not only welcome Jesus, we welcome each other.  We practice hospitality because God did so with Jesus and does so with us.  Join us each Sunday in Advent at 9am or 10:30am . . . . we would love to see you, so “Please, come in!”
